Porting

The Porting resource facilitates number portability within the telecommunications service, enabling customers to retain their existing phone numbers when switching between service providers or plans. This process is essential for enhancing customer satisfaction and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Resolving the donor

Before creating a porting request in DE, PL, or ES, your integration identifies the donor through two lookup resources:

• Service Provider (prefix spro_) — the donor's service provider. The resolved ID is passed into donor_details.service_provider_id on the POST /portings request body.
• Network Operator (prefix nopr_) — the donor's network operator. The resolved ID is passed into donor_details.network_operator_id on the POST /portings request body, and is always optional.
